Thrive: Opportunities in Adversity with Keynote Ken Hall
October 17 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
CDPCBO is proud to present our first in-person/live streamed Professional Development event since 2019! Please join us Monday, October 17, 2022, for an evening of networking, celebration and an engaging and motivating keynote speaker.
Our speaker, Ken Hall, is a graduate with honours of the Career and Work Counselling program at George Brown College, has learned a great deal about resiliency, changing mind sets, and seeing opportunities where others would only see problems. He has overcome challenges with humour, hard work and determination. Join us as Ken shares his own story and lessons learned that can help us as individuals to construct our lives and assist our clients to do the same.
In-person, registration will begin at 6 PM along with small bites to eat and networking.
The live streaming, for those who are unable to attend in person, will begin at 6:45 PM and we will end at 8:30 PM.
The event will be held at Novotel Hotel, North York. It has a subway station under the hotel, parking underground and is just a short distance north of the Hwy 401 at Yonge St. [Hotel in Toronto – Novotel Toronto North York – ALL (accor.com)]

Frequently Asked Question: Do I have to pay with PayPal?
Answer: No. As much as PayPal is used for the overall transaction, you have the option to pay by credit or Visa Debit card. PayPal considers this as checking out as a guest.
Steps to avoid PayPal:
1. Once you have chosen the appropriate ticket type within Eventbrite, selected the checkbox below regarding PayPal and clicked on the “Place Order” button, the next window/screen gives you options – they’re not very well noticed but they are there.
2. The screen wants you to enter an email or phone number to pay with PayPal. Do not enter any information into that field. Instead, click on the button below that reads, “Pay with a credit or Visa Debit card”.
3. Enter in all your card information, ensuring “Canada” is the selected country. You will receive a confirmation once you complete the transaction … without creating a PayPal account. They will prompt you – just say, “No” and close the window.
